In 2012 The Nevada State Public Charter School Authority (SPCSA) approved New America School-Las Vegas as a subsection 7 charter, pending the establishment of a facility and securing funding for the new school.  NAS-Las Vegas will seek to renew this charter in the near future.

The New America School-Las Vegas (NAS-LV) will be a public charter high school dedicated to serving a unique population – recent immigrants, their families and children who want to learn or perfect English and earn a high school diploma.

The mission of The New America School-Las Vegas is to empower new immigrants, English language learners, and academically underserved students with the educational tools and support they need to maximize their potential, succeed and live the American dream.

Our school will be fully accredited, publicly funded institutions that serve young adults, ages 14-21. Our highly qualified staff will provide intensive English language instruction and a rigorous academic curriculum to help students fulfill their dream of a better future.

The New America School-Las Vegas believes educational opportunity is a cornerstone of American life and that English language skills are an essential component. NAS was created to serve English language learners and unenrolled students who might lack the English skills to succeed in mainstream high schools.
